Welcome to Candlewood Equine, a full service equine and ambulatory practice located in Southwestern Connecticut, close to the New York State border and approximately one hour from Hartford. Through the experience and professional expertise of Dr. Ronald Emond, owner and veterinarian of Candlewood Equine, cutting edge horse breeding techniques are brought to owners in New England and beyond.
Foal production is an investment in the future. Candlewood Equine offers excellence in equine reproduction with advanced fertility techniques such as embryo transfers, and a complete frozen semen program from collection to storage and worldwide distribution.
In addition to our in-house breeding services, we offer comprehensive diagnostic, preventive and emergency services to horses throughout Litchfield, Fairfield and New Haven counties in Connecticut, as well as Westchester, Duchess and Putnam counties in New York.
